Hanging in long pendulous clumps, this is a widespread epiphyte in wet sclerophyl forest and rainforest, sometimes growing over 3 meters lomg.

The flowers are a spidery, pale yellow, and quite large (5cm). The plants, often seen dangling from the upper limbs of trees in the rainforest around Mt Glorious, come into flower in spring (usually around September) and, though often overlooked, are an impressive sight in full flower.
